'I wanted to express the essence of light through a new medium,' says Fabrice Pellegrin. Marie Salamagne further explains, 'A sensation that is intense yet gently enveloping ties all the facets together like a single thread.' Salamagne adds, 'True to the spirit of ISSEY MIYAKE, we pursued refined sensibility while being conscious of balance, harmony, and movement.'
'Light is elusive and constantly changing. To express this nature, we chose ingredients that appeal to the heart in various ways. At the same time, we were conscious of highlighting the central ray of light. In "Lumiere d'Issey," light travels like a bright, clear breeze—never staying in one place, passing through various elements of nature and various emotions.' says Fabrice Pellegrin.
The top notes feature 100% naturally derived, bright and fresh green mandarin, and neroli, full of transparency and energy. These two ingredients, bathed in abundant sunlight, scatter a fresh sparkle. 'A smile is born the moment the scent wafts gently. That's the kind of scent we aimed for,' says Fabrice Pellegrin.
