Resilire, Provider of Supply Chain Risk Management Services, Appoints Former SAP Japan Executive Hitoshi Makino as Executive Officer & VP of Revenue

Resilire Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Yudai Tsuda; hereinafter 'the Company') announces the appointment of Hitoshi Makino as Executive Officer VP of Revenue (hereinafter, VPR). ## ◾️Background and Purpose In recent years, rapid changes in global affairs and frequent large-scale disasters have caused supply chain disruptions that threaten corporate survival. In Japan, initiatives for 'supply chain resilience' led by the government and the enforcement of the 'Economic Security Promotion Act' are accelerating. Specifically in the manufacturing industry, securing specified critical materials and ensuring supply network transparency have become urgent issues. The Company develops and provides 'Resilire', a platform that visualizes upstream supply chain information, including beyond tier-1 suppliers, with the vision of 'connecting global supply chain information and making manufacturing sustainable.' To further accelerate its adoption, we have welcomed Hitoshi Makino as VP of Revenue, who has supported the IT transformation of the Japanese manufacturing industry for 22 years at SAP Japan Co., Ltd. Makino has served as the head of business divisions (General Manager) including 'SAP Ariba', one of the world's largest procurement and purchasing networks, and possesses deep domain knowledge in procurement and purchasing DX for the manufacturing industry. With this participation, we will leverage Makino's prominent domestic knowledge and network in procurement and purchasing DX to strengthen problem-solving proposals that contribute to management strategies for manufacturing companies. By setting essential agendas originating from the management layer, we will accelerate decision-making and project promotion within client companies, powerfully driving the social implementation of 'building resilient supply chains.' ## ◾️Executive Officer VP of Revenue Hitoshi Makino Profile Joined SAP Japan Co., Ltd. in 2004. At the Osaka branch, he was in charge of major manufacturing clients and engaged in proposing BPR (Business Process Re-engineering) and management reforms through ERP implementation. From 2015, he moved to the Procurement and Purchasing Cloud Business Division (formerly Ariba, etc.), served as Sales Director in 2016, and as General Manager of the division from 2022.
