PeopleX Inc. The update focuses on the underlying "Character AI" model for the AI interviewer, "Mirai Kurosu," resulting in a substantial reduction in the AI character's data size and a revamp of its voice quality.

"PeopleX AI Interview" allows an AI to act as an interviewer in place of a human, enabling applicants to experience a natural conversation similar to speaking with a person. The AI interviewer, "Mirai Kurosu," is based on the company's proprietary AI model, "Character AI."
This latest update has made the avatar rendering process approximately four times more lightweight than the previous version and has significantly improved the quality of the Japanese voice. This achieves smooth 60 FPS rendering at all times on any device, including smartphone browsers, creating a more comfortable and natural environment for applicants to interact with the AI interviewer.
The update is centered on two main pillars: "lightweight avatar rendering" and "improved voice quality."
For the avatar, proprietary optimization technology has been used to achieve rendering optimized for both mobile web and PC browsers. While delivering a finer and smoother texture than before, the greatly reduced operational load provides a stable interview experience that is less dependent on the communication environment or device performance.
Regarding the voice, the naturalness of Japanese speech has been dramatically enhanced, now reproducing human-like intonation and pauses. Additionally, errors when reading text containing kanji have been significantly reduced, leading to more accurate pronunciation.
Through these improvements, "PeopleX AI Interview" continues to pursue an interview experience so natural that applicants may forget they are speaking with an AI, making it feel like a conversation with a human.
PeopleX's Three AI Models
In addition to the "Character AI" mentioned above, the company also develops its own proprietary AI models for conversation and assessment.
* **Conversation AI:** This model enables real-time dialogue with AI, equipped with the ability to understand context and recognize the speaker's tone of voice, facial expressions, and gestures. It can respond and interact on the spot based on human speech and questions.
* **Assessment AI:** This model evaluates a speaker's expressiveness, comprehension, skills, and behavioral traits based on the content and expression during the AI dialogue. It is designed in compliance with laws and respect for human rights, excluding factors such as nationality, gender, and personal beliefs from the evaluation criteria.
* **Character AI:** This model pertains to the AI character that serves as the conversation partner. It enables a natural conversational experience through blinking, lip movements synchronized with speech, and gestures, making it feel as if one is talking to a real person.
