Kaien Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Keita Suzuki), which operates "Teens," an after-school day service providing career design education for children with developmental disabilities (such as ASD, ADHD, LD) and mental disabilities, will open "Teens Sendai" in April 2026, its second facility in Miyagi Prefecture.

Background of "Teens Sendai" Establishment "Teens" is an after-school day service that offers specialized programs aimed at future employment and independence for children with developmental disabilities and those in the gray zone. It operates 15 facilities, mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and has supported the learning, daily life, and career paths of over 2,400 children to date. In Miyagi Prefecture, support has been provided through "Teens Nagamachi." To deliver specialized support to more people, "Teens Sendai," the second facility in the prefecture, will now open in the Sendai Station East Exit area.

Three Types of Support Provided by "Teens" At Teens, specialized staff accompany children to meet their three needs: "Learning," "Daily Life," and "Future."

Weekday Sessions: Individual support tailored to individual needs and sessions to deepen self-understanding are conducted. Weekend Work Experience: Children learn basic work skills and communication in an environment simulating an actual workplace. Career Design: Utilizing know-how from employment support, we assist in career choices that leverage each individual's strengths.
