He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Planning Sciences from the University of Tsukuba and is an IT Strategist. Born in Kitakyushu in 1965, he graduated from Kyushu Institute of Technology’s Department of Mechanical Engineering and joined Recruit. After working as an engineer and manager in the telecommunications business and as editor-in-chief of ISIZE Housing Information and FoRent.jp, he founded Recruit Forent Insure and became its president and representative director. He later served as Director of Recruit Housing Institute, Director of Daito Trust Construction’s Rental Housing Future Institute, and Director of its AI-DX Lab. Since April 2023, he has served as Professor at Reitaku University and Director of the AI and Business Research Center. His specialties include urban planning, organizational management, and systems development. Since his time at Recruit, he has had extensive experience developing and operating business systems, web media, and core systems, and has long been engaged in data analysis involving real estate data and livability ranking surveys. Akihiro Nagashima earned a master’s degree in information engineering from the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering at the University of Tsukuba, then joined NIFTY Corporation as an engineer. In 2014, he joined ITANDI in its early startup phase and launched multiple new businesses. In 2016, he moved to Mercari, Inc. as a product manager. In 2018, he rejoined ITANDI and became an executive officer, overseeing areas including design and marketing. In November 2023, he was appointed Representative Director, President Executive Officer and CEO.
