Earns "Bronze" Rating, Top 35% of Companies, from EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment for Second Consecutive Year

Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc. (hereinafter, Hitachi GLS) has received the "Bronze" rating, placing it in the top 35% of assessed companies, from the sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis, an international rating agency headquartered in France, for the second consecutive year.

EcoVadis is one of the world's leading rating agencies, assessing the corporate social responsibility and sustainability performance of over 175,000 companies in 180 countries worldwide. The company comprehensively evaluates corporate sustainability initiatives based on four assessment categories: "Environment," "Labor and Human Rights," "Ethics," and "Sustainable Procurement."

Hitachi GLS officially launched its sustainable management initiatives in fiscal year 2024. The company is promoting ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives and is systematically disclosing information from a materiality perspective. As part of these efforts, Hitachi GLS underwent the EcoVadis assessment and received improved ratings in all categories compared to the previous assessment. Notably, the "Environment" category, which includes decarbonization and resource circulation, received high marks again this year, as it did last year.

Under its management plan "Inspire 2027," the Hitachi Group has formulated its sustainability strategy "PLEDGES."
