eiicon Inc. (Headquarters: Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Ayuko Nakamura; hereinafter "eiicon"), which operates "AUBA," Japan's largest open innovation platform, has been awarded its first contract to operate Shimane Prefecture's "FY2026 Next-Generation Industry Matching Support Project" (hereinafter "this project").
eiicon will strongly support the overall operation of this project, from planning, design, and implementation to PR strategy, and together with Shimane Prefecture, aims to promote industrial development and sustainable revitalization within the prefecture.
As a core initiative of this project, Shimane Prefecture and eiicon will launch a program to match Shimane-based companies with companies nationwide, aiming to develop new products and services through open innovation (co-creation).

About Shimane Prefecture's "Next-Generation Industry Matching Support Project"
Shimane Prefecture aims to strengthen regional industrial competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth by promoting open innovation through industry-academia-government collaboration. This project aims to provide opportunities for companies in various industries, including manufacturing, to acquire new technologies and ideas, thereby promoting new business creation and cross-industry collaboration.
This project aims to promote open innovation by matching Shimane-based companies with needs for new business entry or problem-solving with companies that are expected to have complementary relationships or synergistic effects. By developing new products and services in next-generation industrial fields such as green/environment and healthcare, the project seeks to promote industrial development and sustainable revitalization in Shimane Prefecture.

Target Applicants:
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with their main business office in Shimane Prefecture, who are enthusiastic about developing co-creation programs, social implementation, and commercialization towards innovative business development and problem-solving in next-generation industrial fields such as green/environment and healthcare, through collaboration with companies inside and outside the prefecture.
