Collabo Style Inc., headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, and established in July 2013, introduced the family-type robot "LOVOT" (nicknamed "Nagotan") to its workplace. The initiative aimed to activate internal communication and promote employee well-being, aligning with the company's philosophy of pioneering future work styles, including location-independent and time-independent flexible work. An internal survey conducted after more than six months of LOVOT's introduction showed significant positive impacts. Despite approximately 80% of respondents primarily working remotely, 88.2% reported feeling reduced tension, 82.3% observed a positive change in the office atmosphere, and 70.5% found the robot to be a source of healing and refreshment. The company fostered attachment to LOVOT through a surprise announcement at an all-hands meeting and an internal naming contest. A dedicated Slack channel, "#Nagotan_Tsushin," was established to share updates and "Nagotan trivia," serving as a bridge for communication between remote and office members. The company's Community Team, responsible for fostering communication and engagement, noted that LOVOT's presence exceeded initial expectations by providing comfort to remote workers online, becoming an indispensable part of their diverse work style. Collabo Style Inc. develops and provides cloud services like the workflow system "Collabo Flow" and offers workplace design services.
