Cake.jp Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuki Takahashi), operator of the specialized cake and sweets e-commerce site 'Cake.jp,' will begin selling collaboration cookie sandwiches with the picture book 'Nontan's Birthday' (Written/Illustrated by Sachiko Kiyono, Published by Kaiseisha) starting Monday, April 27, 2026. The products will also be available at pop-up stores titled 'Classic Picture Book Cookie Tin Selection by Cake.jp' held at Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Store and Shibuya Scramble Square.

The popular 'Nontan' series, first published in 1976, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Cake.jp realized this collaboration with the hope that families can enjoy the world of Nontan more deeply by actually eating the sweets that appear in the book while reading it to children. This product is a recreation of the handmade cookies that Nontan's friends made for his birthday in the story.

The product features rich, plant-based cookie sandwiches made with rice flour cookies, soy cream, and fruit jam, providing a satisfying treat in a single serving. They are handmade using safe materials, being free of wheat, eggs, dairy, and artificial coloring to accommodate small children and those with allergies.

Cake.jp aims to continue expanding its product lineup to meet diversifying customer needs. Through the sweets they deliver, the company strives to provide customers with more moments of happiness not only for birthdays and anniversaries but also in various daily scenes.
