Asuene Enters into Capital and Business Alliance with Spectee, a Provider of AI-Powered Crisis Management Services

Asuene Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Kohei Nishiwada; hereinafter "the Company") has made an investment in and entered into a capital and business alliance with Spectee Inc. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kenjiro Murakami; hereinafter "Spectee"), a provider of AI-powered real-time crisis management services.

This capital and business alliance is aimed at strategically strengthening the supplier risk management domain, with "ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN" at its core. Beyond mere environmental data management, the Company will promote the advancement of an integrated supply chain management platform that includes the visualization of incident information and production impacts.

Background and Significance of this Capital and Business Alliance

Risks such as natural disasters, accidents, and cyberattacks can spread throughout the entire supply chain, directly affecting a company's business continuity. Particularly in the manufacturing industry, if a supplier base experiences a shutdown, companies are forced to review production plans and change procurement strategies in a short period of time.

On the other hand, at many companies, ESG information management, risk management, and BCP (Business Continuity Plan) measures are operated as separate systems. As a result, environmental information and incident information regarding suppliers are fragmented, leading to the challenge that the overall picture necessary for management decision-making cannot be immediately grasped.

The Company has been deploying the supply chain management cloud "ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN" and, based on the ESG information management of globally expanding suppliers, has been supporting the advancement of procurement strategies and disclosure compliance.

Spectee deploys the AI-powered real-time crisis management service "Spectee Pro" and the supply chain risk management service "Spectee SCR." "Spectee Pro" has established a 24/7/365 monitoring system in nine countries around the world, providing information on disasters, accidents, cyberattacks, etc., in real time. In addition, "Spectee SCR" is a cloud service that uses AI to detect disasters, accidents, geopolitical risks, etc., in real time, allowing users to immediately grasp which supplier bases and which parts are affected.

The Company determined that the importance of a system capable of cross-sectionally grasping environmental data related to suppliers and incident information such as disasters and accidents, and swiftly judging the impact on procurement and production activities, is increasing further. By linking real-time risk information with supplier data, we determined that we could upgrade "ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN" into a strategic supplier risk management foundation, and thus executed the investment and concluded the capital and business alliance.

Collaboration Content After the Capital and Business Alliance

The two companies will promote data integration between "ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN" and the real-time crisis information held by Spectee. Through this, we aim to strengthen functions that immediately grasp incidents such as disasters, accidents, and cyberattacks occurring at supplier bases, and visualize the identification of target suppliers and the impact on procurement and production activities. Furthermore, we will also promote sales collaboration utilizing both companies' strong customer bases.

Through this collaboration, "ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN" will expand its functions as a platform that supports integrated supplier risk management, including risk management and BCP response, in addition to supplier ESG management. By building a mechanism that can cross-sectionally grasp environmental information and incident information, we will support the advancement of companies' sustainable procurement strategies and management decision-making.
