"Copak" is an app designed to help divorced parents engage in peaceful and stable co-parenting with their children at the center. It is designed based on practical examples of joint custody systems overseas and developed under the supervision of a law firm.
Background of Development In April 2026, the "post-divorce joint custody system" will be implemented as a historic legal revision in Japan. On the other hand, the reality is that there is a large gap between "having joint custody" and "actually being able to co-parent smoothly". There are various challenges hidden in co-parenting by divorced parents, such as the burden of adjusting parenting schedules, psychological resistance to communicating directly even after divorce, rules and role sharing regarding education and medical care. Copak was developed to overcome these challenges using technology, aiming to provide "peaceful lives" to divorced parents and "love from both parents" to children.
Main Features of the Copak App ### 1. Co-parenting Calendar Easily create custody and parenting schedules using templates. A simple adjustment function centered on one-click YES/NO operations significantly reduces the psychological and administrative burden on both parents.
### 2. Child Data Bank Centrally manage important information related to school, medical care, and child-rearing between parents. It provides a mechanism for both parents to respond quickly in an emergency, providing a safe and secure parenting environment for children.
