Dia Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shin-Imasato, Ikuno-ku, Osaka City; Representative Director and President: Shunsuke Tada), which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, will significantly expand the "Okan Goroku" featured on the packaging of "Okan Pan," a popular product that evolved from the "Milk Pan" selling 3,000 units daily into an Osaka souvenir. Since its launch in July 2024, "Okan Pan" has surpassed 100 million yen in sales in just one year, receiving accolades such as the "PR Award 2025" Bronze and "Osaka Mon Meihin" certification, supported by many. This January, the Osaka Governor also introduced it as an "Osaka souvenir," leading to many voices anticipating its further expansion. In response to these expectations, following the challenge of a new Mother's Day flavor "Ichigo Aji" (strawberry flavor), we are now powering up the "Okan Goroku," which can be called the brand's soul. We hope that the new words, selected from 224 submissions of "love for Okan" collected via SNS and in-store, will further increase smiles during moments of sharing bread.

Approximately two years since its launch in July 2024, "Okan Pan" has continued to grow into a representative Osaka souvenir, both in name and reality, with sales beginning at Shin-Osaka Station, expansion of sales channels, and "Osaka Mon Meihin" certification. Introducing new sayings periodically as approximately two years pass since its launch is an important initiative to deliver fresh excitement, such as "What's written this time?" and "interesting discoveries," along with the deliciousness of the bread to repeat customers. We aim to nurture this brand not as a mere temporary boom, but as a long-lasting brand that stays close to everyone, bringing smiles and conversation into daily life through the beloved character of Osaka's "Okan."

Milk Pan is a small palm-sized pastry with four layers of custard cream. The craftsmanship of Dia's bakers is packed into this small fluffy bread, including hand-cutting the dough so that the delicious layers are not crushed. It is a set of 6 pieces, including the classic milk flavor and the chocolate flavor only available with Okan Pan.

■ "Okan's Sayings" Third Series Appears! New Release with a Total of 36 Types.

The "3rd Okan Goroku Big Recruitment" conducted in January 2026 via Instagram and in-store (Google Forms) received 224 entries filled with love for Okan from all over the country. From these, 12 sayings that are typically "Okan-like" – words that are strict but comforting, making one feel supported – were carefully selected. These, along with the existing 24 types, will be rolled out sequentially as a total of 36 types of "Okan Goroku" starting May 11.
