Converse is launching its first sandal models from the "SLIT SLIDE" series of hands-free shoes, which allow users to put them on and take them off without using their hands. The new lineup for the 2026 Spring/Summer season will include "CAVESTAR SLIT SLIDE SNEAKER SANDAL" and "CAVESTAR SLIT SLIDE SANDAL."

Converse's hands-free shoes, "SLIT SLIDE," first appeared in 2025. With the convenience of hands-free on/off and comfortable wear, they have gained widespread support for various scenes, from daily use to active situations.

The "SLIT SLIDE" series is developed as a model that combines a sporty impression with a design that is easy to incorporate into everyday life. It features the brand's unique molded counter with a slit in the heel, allowing for smooth, hands-free wear thanks to the design of the upper edge, which is tilted backward when putting on the shoe. When worn, the upper edge returns to its original position, providing stable support for the heel. Furthermore, the midsole adopts the same shape as running shoes, and its hollow structure enables natural and smooth foot movement. This ensures comfortable wear even for long periods.

This collection introduces new models that incorporate the lightness and breathability unique to sandals, while maintaining the series' functionality. The lineup also includes sandal models featuring denim material for the first time in the series, making them easier to incorporate into casual styling. These models are suitable for the spring/summer season, proposing active use in a wider range of scenes.

Following last season, talent and model Chiaki Horan, along with brand ambassador Yuki Togashi, are featured in the visuals. Through different styles, from elegant one-piece dresses to sporty casual outfits and even active scenes, the visuals express how the "SLIT SLIDE" sandal series can be easily incorporated regardless of the occasion.

Yuki Togashi Profile

Born in 1993, 32 years old, 167cm. A basketball player from Niigata Prefecture. Position: Point Guard. Since starting mini-basketball in elementary school, he has been active on the front lines of various stages, including experience with the Japanese national team across all generations, playing overseas, and in the B.LEAGUE. He also led the Japanese national team as captain in the recent Paris 2024 Olympics. His unique playstyle is characterized by overwhelming speed and high technical skill.
