Contec Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Kazuyoshi Nishiyama) is pleased to announce that its CONPROSYS® (Conprosys) IoT gateway product series, a comprehensive brand for industrial IoT solutions, has been certified under "JC-STAR" Level 1, a labeling system operated by the Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA), an independent administrative agency under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which evaluates and visualizes the security performance of IoT devices.
In recent years, the introduction of IoT systems has rapidly increased due to the advancement of digitalization. Amidst this, cyberattacks targeting IoT products are on the rise, and the importance of cybersecurity measures for IoT products is growing ever more.
Our company has been strengthening its security measures throughout the entire lifecycle, including the product and service development process, and has now obtained JC-STAR Level 1 (compliance label ★1) for the CONPROSYS® (Conprosys) IoT gateway product series.
JC-STAR is a labeling system within Japan, but it is designed with coordination and consistency with security systems in various countries worldwide, and mutual recognition with the EU Cyber Security Act, UK PSTI Act, US NISTIR, and others is being considered.
