CONPROSYS® IoT Gateway Product Series Obtains IPA JC-STAR Level 1, Promoting Enhanced Security Measures

CONTEC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Kazuyoshi Nishiyama) is pleased to announce that its CONPROSYS® IoT Gateway product series, part of the comprehensive brand for industrial IoT solutions, has been certified with JC-STAR, a labeling system operated by the independent administrative agency IPA (Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan) under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which evaluates and visualizes the security performance of IoT devices.

In recent years, the introduction of IoT systems has rapidly increased due to the advancement of digitalization. Amidst this, cyberattacks targeting IoT products are on the rise, and the importance of cybersecurity measures for IoT products is growing ever higher.

Our company has been strengthening its security measures across the entire lifecycle, including the development process of products and services, and has now obtained JC-STAR Level 1 (conformity label ★1) for the CONPROSYS® IoT Gateway product series.

JC-STAR is a labeling system within Japan, but it is designed with coordination and consistency with security systems in various countries worldwide, and mutual recognition with the EU Cyber Security Act, UK PSTI Act, US NISTIR, and others is being considered.

To ensure that our customers can operate their IoT systems safely, we will continue to develop and provide IoT device products with high security standards.
