Commons Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Tetsuro Ii, hereinafter "Commons AM") has published the annual report for the "Commons Impact Fund ~Co-creation~," a qualified institutional investor-only fund investing in domestically listed stocks, which began operations in May 2022.
This fund, which also aims to advance the entire investment chain, involves collaboration between asset owner Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Director, President & CEO: Kunio Yagaki, hereinafter "Japan Post Insurance"), asset manager Commons AM, and Ridilover Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Toshiki Abe, hereinafter "Ridilover"), which sets, measures, and evaluates KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for social issues addressed by companies. The three parties have engaged deeply with companies to create positive social impact.
Participants in the engagement sessions included members from various departments such as top management, executive officers in charge, corporate planning, human resources, sustainability promotion, and IR departments. Discussions were held on the content of positive environmental and social impacts, specific logic models, and KPI setting.
Nearly four years have passed since the fund's inception. We feel that the advancement of the investment chain is beginning to be realized, using "impact" as a common language.
