In Japanese SMEs, the personalization of tasks, labor shortages, and delays in documentation are serious management challenges. For companies without dedicated IT departments, DX and generative AI adoption often feel irrelevant. However, the rapid evolution of 'AI coding assistants' between 2024 and 2025 has changed this. Anthropic's Claude Code is gaining attention as a tool that allows for business flow automation, document creation, and system integration without specialized programming knowledge. Comix Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akihiro Suzuki) has launched the 'Claude Code Implementation Support Plan' to provide end-to-end support for SMEs and startups, from setup to the establishment of business automation. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the AI adoption rate of Japanese SMEs is only about one-third that of large enterprises. The biggest barrier is a lack of expertise in implementation and operation. Many employees spend 40-80 hours a month on repetitive tasks like email handling and data organization. Claude Code bridges this gap. The plan includes: 1) One-on-one setup (Git, Node.js, VS Code, tool integration, security rules), and 2) Consulting for long-term adoption (guidelines, training). Success stories include automating recruitment emails, Slack responses, and legacy system replacement. Comix aims to help companies move from 'using' AI to 'employing' it as a workforce.
