Introducing the Award-Winning Works [Kochi Anime Creator Award 2026]

The Kochi Anime Creator Sacred Site Project Executive Committee announced the winners of the Kochi Anime Creator Award on April 11, 2026, during the first day of the Kochi Anikuri Festival 2026. The award received 310 entries, with over 3,200 public votes. Kochi Shinkin Bank (Chairman: Kurumi Yamazaki) promotes the 'Kochi Anime Creator Sacred Site Project' to create jobs and revitalize the region by attracting anime creators and related companies. The award is sponsored by the bank and the Chiiki Mirai Foundation. The ceremony, held at the Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium, was attended by industry professionals and local leaders. The six judges praised the high quality of the entries, with one remarking, 'I am surprised by the high level; I couldn't have drawn this when I was a student.' The Grand Prix was awarded to Hana Takubo (Tokyo University of the Arts) for her work, 'I am flying in a place where no one can see me.' The presenter was Kazuko Ishikawa, Chairman of The Association of Japanese Animations. Other awards included the Semi-Grand Prix, Ani-Tamashii Award, and Audience Award.
