A photo T-shirt "Earthday Hardwear T" featuring the scenery of the John Muir Trail, presented on Earth Day to appreciate our beautiful natural environment

Born in California, USA in 1993, the mountain sports brand "Mountain Hardwear" (Columbia Sportswear Japan, Inc., 7F 6-27-30 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Representative: Massimo Lazzari) will launch the "Earthday Hardwear T", a photo print T-shirt themed around Earth Day, a day to think about the global environment. It will be available at their official online store and authorized retailers.

Earth Day on April 22 is designated as a day to think about the earth and the environment, and to appreciate our beautiful natural surroundings. With a history of over 50 years since its establishment, it has grown to a point where environmental activities are conducted in various countries and regions today.

Mountain Hardwear has continuously engaged in environmental awareness activities on Earth Day under the theme of "Keep Earth Awesome".

For this Earth Day, we collaborated with Raicho inc, which creates sustainable local communities by operating accommodations and guiding mountains based in the Norikura Highlands. Three members of Raicho inc walked the roughly 340km-long "John Muir Trail", a long trail between Yosemite Valley and Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous United States, over 18 days. Shutting down all unnecessary information, their journey was simply about facing nature and their companions. We are selling the traces of their journey as a photo print T-shirt. We hope that through the photos of the John Muir Trail walked by those who continuously act on the concept of "returning to nature", it will provide an opportunity to reconsider the relationship between humans and nature.
