Former Carol Guitarist Toshikatsu Uchiumi's Solo Album "DaDa" to be Digitally Released on April 29!!

In 1972, Toshikatsu Uchiumi debuted as the lead guitarist and vocalist of CAROL, igniting a rock 'n' roll frenzy across Japan. After CAROL's disbandment, he embarked on a solo career, releasing his LP "DaDa" from Nippon Columbia on August 25, 1980. He wrote, composed, arranged, and sang almost all the tracks, showcasing a new artistic direction. After a long wait, the album is finally being digitally re-released on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

**Profile** Toshikatsu Uchiumi Birthplace: Kanagawa Prefecture Birthday: May 30, 1953 Blood Type: A Born in Kamakura in 1953, he grew up surrounded by nature, including the sound of waves on Zaimokuza Beach. He began playing guitar in junior high school after discovering blues artists like John Lee Hooker. In 1972, he debuted as the lead guitarist/vocalist of CAROL alongside Eikichi Yazawa, Johnny Okura, and Yu Okazaki, building an era before the band disbanded in 1975. Immediately after CAROL's breakup, he actively pursued solo activities, releasing albums and performing as a backup band member for Yuya Uchida, Ryudo Uzaki, and Yoshio Harada, participating in live shows and recordings. He continued his band activities with groups like Peach Blue, Blues File No.1, POUSSE-CAFE’, and BACA BACCA, while also releasing solo albums such as "from here.", "LOVE & PEACE", "STAMP OF DREAMS," and "mujun." Outside of his music career, from 2011 to 2023, he hosted "Toshikatsu Uchiumi LOVE & PEACE Onaji Sora no Shita Kara" on Kawasaki FM, where he introduced a wide range of music genres and welcomed numerous guests.
