The "Women's Digital Creative Human Resource Development Project," organized by the Asahikawa City Children, Women, and Youth Future Department, Women and Youth Support Division, and operated by Iroenpitsu Co., Ltd. (Asahikawa City, Hokkaido; Representative: Yuki Ohtawara), will begin accepting applications for the fiscal year 2026 cohort on July 1, 2026 (Wed).

The program is open to women residing in or working in Asahikawa City (no age limit) and is free of charge. Through a total of 8 seminars, participants will learn fundamental to practical skills in SNS management, Canva, generative AI, short video editing, and crowdsourcing.

Fiscal Year 2025 "Women's Work Style Skill-Up Seminar"

Background: Towards an Era Where Women are Chosen for Who They Are, Not Just What AI Can Do

The rapid spread of generative AI has ushered in an era where many tasks such as image creation, text generation, and video editing can be replaced by AI. With the rise of micro-corporations and the AI-driven automation of tasks, simply being able to use tools is no longer enough to differentiate oneself.

Meanwhile, Asahikawa City has many women who have given up on remote work due to time constraints related to housework, childcare, or nursing care, or who struggle to secure a stable income due to life events such as separation.

This project aims to empower these women by equipping them with digital skills and teaching them "business fundamentals" simultaneously, enabling them to work long-term and in a way that suits their individual lives.

"I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up because I'm not young, but they waited patiently and I was able to follow along well. Even an older woman like me could learn enjoyably!" (40s, Homemaker)

"I want to aim to earn even 10,000 yen a month as a side job. I'm so glad I was able to receive such a wonderful course!" (50s, Homemaker)

Future Development

We aim for continuous support rooted in Asahikawa City, rather than expansion to other regions. Through "AsaCan (Asahikawa Canva Community)," a local community operated by our company, we will continue to hold lectures and events inviting business owners and experts from outside Hokkaido to Asahikawa. We will continue to provide opportunities for Asahikawa citizens to experience the latest "work styles," "AI utilization," and "business thinking."

◼︎ Message from the Representative

Yuki Ohtawara / Representative Director, Iroenpitsu Co., Ltd.

We have been involved in reskilling-related projects before, but this marks a significant overhaul of the program. In today's rapidly advancing AI utilization, with accelerating AI automation of tasks and the rise of micro-corporations, simply being able to use tools like Canva or AI is no longer enough for differentiation.

What we want to convey is not just how to use the tools, but the skills and know-how for long-term career sustainability, as well as business fundamentals.

We want the women of Asahikawa to acquire the ability to be chosen for who they are. We will continue to create a space for that in Asahikawa.
