A New Private Elementary School to Open in April 2026
Akebono Gakuen Educational Corporation (Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture) and Cocle de Mori Certified NPO (Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture) have been preparing for the establishment of "Rokuse Hoshinosato Elementary School" by utilizing the former Rokuse Junior High School site in the Rokuse area of Inagawa Town, Hyogo Prefecture.
We are pleased to announce that we have received approval for establishment from the Governor of Hyogo Prefecture on March 18, 2026, and the school will open in April 2026.
Educational Features
① Six Concepts: Choose / Try / Speak / Connect / Face / Acknowledge
Each child is likened to a star, and we value the encounter with "one's own individuality.".
② Small Class Sizes that Value Each Individual
With small class sizes of approximately 20 students per class, we provide learning that is tailored to each individual.
③ Learning Begins with Hands-on Experience
We value learning that starts with hands-on experiences derived from daily life and interactions with the community.
From agricultural work, caring for animals, woodworking and cooking, to interacting with local people, we connect the "Why?" and "I want to know more!" that arise from children's experiences through their five senses to learning.
④ School Building that Values Dialogue
Teachers and children are viewed as equal learners, and rules and events are decided through dialogue.
The Rokuse Field of Learning
The Rokuse area is blessed with a rich natural environment while also having good access to the Osaka and Kobe areas. It is also a region suitable for "educational migration" triggered by education, as it promotes relocation support as a special zone for utilizing vacant houses in Hyogo Prefecture. We aim for school management that is open to the community, in cooperation with local small schools.
