The Kurokawa Satoyama Center, located in Kurokawa, Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, will host experiential workshops for adults in May at its Satoyama base, which utilizes the former Kurokawa Elementary School.

You can spend time away from your daily routine through diverse activities such as handicrafts and reading clubs.

Each program can be attended individually, and the content is designed for beginners to easily participate.

Adult Atelier

You can choose your preferred activity from simple frame weaving, wool felting, or darning (clothing repair).

Handicraft Class

This workshop offers an experience from cotton ginning to thread making and weaving.

Participation Fee: Cotton 3,500 yen / Hand weaving 5,500 yen

Bamboo Basket Making

This is a crafting experience where you weave a basket using bamboo strips. You will experience everything from cutting bamboo.

Satoyama Book Time

This is a book club where participants bring books related to a theme and introduce them to each other. Spend a relaxed time conversing through books.
