Co-Innovation University, Opening in April 2026, Enters a New Phase

　Co-Innovation University (hereinafter referred to as CoIU), scheduled to open in April 2026, and its operating body, School Corporation CoIU (Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, President: Hiromi Inoue; hereinafter referred to as CoIU), announce their transition to a new structure that will further promote co-creation initiatives across education, community, and industry, in collaboration with the newly established General Incorporated Association Co-Innovation Ecosystem (Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, Co-Representative Directors: Hiroyuki Miyata, Hiromi Inoue; hereinafter referred to as CoIE).

This initiative aims to build a "Co-Innovation Ecosystem" that, with the university at its core, connects with society in various forms beyond its boundaries to continuously generate new value.

◯ Co-Innovation University Opens in April 2026

Co-Innovation University (CoIU), opening in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, is a four-year university with the founding spirit of "Questioning Civilization Together, Co-Creating the Future." It aims to foster individuals who challenge the creation of value connected to society by iterating between theory, dialogue, and practice.

Since the start of consideration for its establishment in 2020, the concept has been gradually realized in collaboration with the local community and diverse partners, including the signing of an agreement with Hida City, the demonstration of bonding ship, the decision of the university name, application and approval from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the development of a downtown campus.

The learning at CoIU will unfold from its campus spread throughout the downtown area of Hida City, Gifu Prefecture. In an environment open to the community, students will deepen their practice-oriented learning while engaging with society in a way that is seamlessly integrated into their daily lives.
