[Research Report] Keynote Structure that Arranges Important Elements Seen in Meta LlamaCon 2025 Analysis to Convey the Overall Picture

Cognitee Inc. LlamaCon 2025 exhibited a structural characteristic where the talk began with specific points while maintaining a live feel, and then branched out in various ways to discuss the main theme. Furthermore, upon examining the clusters of topics, it became clear that this branching was not merely due to a multitude of discussion points, but rather appeared as a "method of progression" that presented a comprehensive picture by arranging and developing important elements of the AI era horizontally and linking them together.

■ Background of the Survey

Cognitee has previously shown that differences in various keynotes cannot be fully explained by a single comparative index, and at least a combination of three communication design elements—"presentation format, starting point setting, and development structure"—is necessary. Within this, regarding the "development structure," while it was possible to show that some keynotes had strong linearity and others strong branching, there was still room for organizing what each "method of progression" meant. By adding LlamaCon 2025 to the analysis this time, we were able to more concretely interpret the meaning of a strongly branched structure.

■ Overview of the Analysis

In this analysis, Cognitee's patented technology "CogStructure" is used to structure keynote speeches and convert them into comparable indicators. Key indicators such as story development (linear/branched/multiple options, etc.), demonstrative pronouns per 1000 characters, fillers, speaking speed (characters per minute), and main topics (top topics) are extracted and analyzed from the perspective of the three communication design elements (presentation format, starting point setting, and development structure) to characterize them.

■ Main Result ①: LlamaCon 2025 is characterized by "maintaining a live feel, being function-centric, and having strong branching."

Looking at LlamaCon 2025 through the three communication design elements, it exhibits characteristics of a relatively strong live feel, a starting point for topics leaning towards functions, and a strongly branched story development structure. Within the total length of 31 minutes and 50 seconds, 24 instances of "eh/uh," 15 instances of "etto/eeto," 2 instances of "maa," and 1 instance of "aa" were detected as fillers, with a filler frequency of approximately 4.6 times/1000 characters. This indicates that the live feel, stemming from the dialogue format, is structurally maintained. Furthermore, top topics such as "the need to rethink the entire technology stack" and "we want to build world-class computing, storage, networking, and AI accelerators as a service" were detected, confirming that the narrative's starting point leans towards functions. On the other hand, the story development was analyzed as a strongly branched structure with "2 direct developments / 5 branched developments."

[What can be read] LlamaCon 2025 appears in the position of "function-centric, strong branching" while maintaining a live feel.

[Implication] Branching is not only linked to high editability but can also appear in compositions with a live feel.

■ Main Result ②: The main theme of LlamaCon 2025 lies in the "totality of related elements" supporting the AI era.

Following the top topics and explained topics from the analysis results, the main theme extends beyond the appeal of a single function to multiple important elements supporting the implementation of the AI era. Specifically, the coexistence of open/closed systems, multi-modal applications, protocols and standardization, tools and infrastructure used by agents, integration into existing workflows, and the reorganization of boundaries between documents/applications/websites are repeatedly discussed. While these are based on AI, they are not simply folded into a single main line but are presented as a totality that constitutes the "overall picture of the AI era" by horizontally developing related elements. In other words, it can be organized as a "relationship-development type" of branching.

[What can be read] In all of the top topics, elaborated topics, and actual text, "related elements" such as open/closed, infrastructure, copilot, and workflow integration are arranged and discussed as a totality, not as single functions.

[Implication] The branching in this case is not about "many discussion points," but can be interpreted as a structure = "relationship-development type" of branching, designed to convey a comprehensive picture by horizontally developing important elements.

■ Main Result ③: Development structure can be reinterpreted as a design variable indicating the "progression method" of the main theme.

In the previously reported WWDC2025 analysis, a strongly linear story development was organized as a structure that sequentially builds important elements along a main line, rather than horizontally developing multiple discussion points. Here, linearity is not interpreted as "few discussion points," but as a progression method where multiple elements converge towards a single main theme. On the other hand, in LlamaCon 2025, strongly branched development was suggested as a method used to present a comprehensive picture by horizontally developing related elements. That is, linearity can be understood to mean "degree of convergence to the main theme," and branching to mean "presentation of a comprehensive picture through relationship development." Thus, the development structure can be reinterpreted as a variable representing the design policy of "how to advance the main theme."

[What can be read] In the convergent type, multiple topics are integrated and advance along a single main line. In the relationship-development type, multiple topics are developed horizontally, and the main theme is understood as a comprehensive picture.

[Implication] The difference in development structure should be interpreted not as a difference in complexity, but as a difference in design: "what to advance and how."

■ Cognitee's Implication

In this Meta LlamaCon 2025, the branching of the story did not mean "many topics" or "a scattered main theme." Branching appeared as a way to advance the narrative by horizontally developing and relating multiple important elements supporting the AI era, such as open/closed systems, infrastructure, copilot, and workflow integration, to convey a comprehensive picture.

On the other hand, the analysis of WWDC2025 revealed a strongly linear story development that concludes along a main line. From these, the "development structure" of the three communication design elements can be organized as a variable representing the design policy for presenting the main theme, rather than the number of discussion points. That is, there are at least two methods of progression: the "convergent type," which advances by folding the main theme into a single axis, and the "relationship-development type," which presents a comprehensive picture by horizontally developing related elements.

When companies design keynotes, they need to decide in advance whether to converge a broad theme into a single axis or to present a comprehensive picture by horizontally developing related elements. Cognitee will continue to convert differences in the progression of main themes in keynotes into actionable indicators through structural analysis of speech and text.
