Tatsuya Imai Leads Combined No-Hitter as Astros Defeat Rangers 9-0

Houston Astros Japanese pitcher Tatsuya Imai overcame a shaky first inning to pitch six no-hit innings on the 25th. Combined with relief pitchers Steven Okert and rookie Alimber Santa, the Astros secured a 9-0 victory over the Texas Rangers, marking the 17th no-hitter in franchise history. Imai walked three batters in the first inning but settled down to dominate the rest of his outing. Imai signed a three-year, $54 million contract with the Astros in January after eight seasons in Japan.
