NVIDIA to Hold Taiwan Employee Meeting in Taipei on May 27; Mayor Chiang Wan-an to Attend

Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an announced on the 25th that he will attend NVIDIA's employee meeting at the Beitou Shilin Technology Park (Beitou-Shilin) T1718 site on May 27. He stated that this not only proves Taipei's strength to the world but also serves as a vote of confidence from NVIDIA in the city's future. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang arrived in Taiwan on the 23rd. After dining with TSMC founder Morris Chang and his wife on the 24th, Huang mentioned that his trip includes multiple meetings, with hopes to connect with Quanta Chairman Barry Lam and TSMC Chairman C.C. Wei. He also revealed plans to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for NVIDIA's Taiwan headquarters on the 27th. NVIDIA announced today that to celebrate the launch of the NVIDIA Constellation project in Taiwan, it will hold an employee meeting on the morning of May 27 at the T1718 site in the Beitou Shilin Technology Park, with CEO Jensen Huang in attendance. During the unveiling of a commemorative plaque for the birthplace of Taiwan's semiconductor industry on Nanyang Street, Mayor Chiang confirmed his attendance at the NVIDIA event. Regarding power supply concerns in the technology park, Chiang noted that while the city is coordinating with Taipower, the core issue lies in national energy policy. He also reflected on the historical significance of Nanyang Street, where a breakfast meeting on February 7, 1974, laid the foundation for Taiwan's integrated circuit technology development.
