Farewell Party at New Taipei City Library Sanchong Branch: 6 Hours of Non-Stop Bands and Stand-up Comedy

The Sanchong Branch of the New Taipei City Library will close starting in June, with demolition and reconstruction beginning in July. A party will be held on May 30th to invite the public to spend the last day together. In addition to inviting bands and singers such as '傷心欲絶' (Sadness) and '阿跨面' (Aquaman), there will be stand-up comedy, magic shows, and other events for 6 hours non-stop. Wu Jia-shan, Director of the New Taipei City Library, stated that closing does not mean parting, but the end of a phased mission and the beginning of the next journey. The Sanchong Branch has carried countless memories of family reading and student learning, so a graduation party has been planned for the last day of closure. Different types of activities will be launched on each floor, inviting old and new friends to tour the library one last time, say goodbye, and make an appointment to meet again at the Second Main Library. According to a press release from the New Taipei City Library, the Sanchong Branch's 'Goodbye! See You Again' graduation party will kick off at 2:00 PM on May 30th and continue until 8:00 PM, lasting 6 hours without interruption. The 3rd floor 'Rock Music Hall' will feature performances by indie bands such as '傷心欲絶,' '腦體馬戲團,' and '芒果街老爸.' The 2nd floor 'Narrative Theater' will invite stand-up comedian Zhuang Zhuang and rappers Aquaman, Rui Sha, and Zhao Yi-fan to combine stand-up comedy with rap music performances. The 1st floor 'Cool Party' will create a mini fun park, providing experiences such as 'little librarian,' twist cars, and battle spinners. The B1 'Swing Cellar' will feature live DJ performances and a free drink bar. The outdoor plaza will host the 'Fei Xiang Market,' along with circus, bubble shows, balloon shows, and magic shows. In addition, starting at 1:30 PM that day, 400 vouchers worth 50 NTD will be distributed at the outdoor market. The B1 'Swing Cellar' will provide limited non-alcoholic flavored drinks and sparkling water, and there will also be a lucky draw for a chance to win exclusive commemorative cultural and creative items.
