Taoyuan City and Rakuten team up for 'Sustainable Party' at baseball stadium

Taoyuan City Government and the Rakuten baseball team collaborated to host the 'Sustainable Party' environmental theme days over two days at Qingpu Baseball Stadium. By integrating concepts such as ecological conservation, marine life rescue, and uniform recycling, the event allowed fans to engage with sustainability concepts. The Taoyuan Environmental Protection Bureau stated that the event introduced a 'Jersey-to-Jersey' circular economy model, where old uniforms are collected and processed into bags. Other activities included low-carbon commuting simulations by Pacific Cycles and Garmin, and wildlife conservation education by Xpark Aquarium. Deputy Mayor Su Chun-pin noted that this is the fourth year of the event, which has become a key platform for environmental education in Taoyuan.
