Abao and Producer Launch Electronic Music Workshop Fusing Indigenous Language

The Taitung County Government is hosting the "MINETJUS! Electronic Music Production Decoded" series, a workshop series co-curated by Golden Melody Award winner Abao and producer Huang Shao-yong. Registration is open from now until June 1st, and individuals interested in music creation are encouraged to apply. Gao Zhong-yun, Director of the Indigenous Peoples Administrative Department of Taitung County, stated today that the program focuses on "combining indigenous language culture with pop music." The workshop aims to cultivate indigenous music talent through practical electronic music production training. This year's curriculum is more comprehensive, covering music production, songwriting, vocal recording, arrangement, mixing, marketing, social media management, short video production, and live performance practices, guiding students through the entire process from creation to output. Gao noted that this is the fourth year the camp is held in Taitung, attracting young music enthusiasts from across Taiwan. The program uses small-group, hands-on teaching methods, allowing students to gain industry experience through group projects, recording sessions, and final presentations. Instructors include industry professionals such as Huang Shao-yong, RIIN, Rossi, Liv, Dai Jian-yu, Alas, Navi, and Kui, with special guest NIO, winner of the "Music Manager" show, joining the faculty. A final showcase is planned to feature past and current students, fostering cross-generational collaboration. The department urges interested individuals to apply by June 1st for the sessions running from July 4th to 8th.
