White House placed on lockdown following reports of gunfire nearby

The U.S. Secret Service stated that they are investigating reports of gunfire at the northwest corner of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, which is located just outside the White House perimeter. Reporters inside the White House were told to shelter in place, as Secret Service agents shouted "get down" and warned that "someone is shooting."
