Tigers' Li Hao-Yu Records 2 Hits and 2 RBIs, but Team Suffers 7th Consecutive Loss

Central News Agency (Taipei, May 23) Starting for the fourth consecutive day, 23-year-old Detroit Tigers infielder Li Hao-Yu recorded two hits and two RBIs today. However, the team's pitching staff continued to struggle, and the Tigers ultimately lost 4-7 to the Baltimore Orioles, suffering their seventh consecutive defeat. Li started as the ninth-place hitter and second baseman. In his first at-bat in the top of the third inning, he hit an RBI double down the left-field line, extending the Tigers' lead to 2-0. In the bottom of the sixth, Alonso added another run with a sacrifice fly. In the top of the seventh, the right-handed Li struck out. He finished the game with two hits and two RBIs in three at-bats, raising his batting average to .222.
