Pentagon releases latest declassified files; video of fighter jet shooting down UFO exposed

The Pentagon released the latest declassified files on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) today, including footage showing the moment a US fighter jet shot down a mysterious object over Lake Huron, Michigan. According to the New York Post, the infrared video captures an F-16 fighter jet targeting an unidentified object after it appeared over the lake in February 2023. The aircraft, which appeared to be diamond-shaped, was hit by what the Pentagon called a "weapons system" and exploded, with suspected debris scattering in all directions. This newly exposed video is one of 222 declassified files released on the Department of Defense website today. It includes more than 50 previously classified videos documenting various encounters with military aircraft. One video appears to show four unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) flying in formation over Iranian waters in August 2022. Another video from a US Coast Guard infrared sensor shows an object flying near an aircraft over the southeastern United States in April 2024. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said today that these documents, photos, and videos, officially known as "unidentified anomalous phenomena," have long sparked various speculations. He said, "It is time for the American people to see it for themselves."
