TLPGA Dachan Great Wall Women's Open: Li Hsin Maintains Lead, Yani Tseng Chases

The second round of the TLPGA Dachan Great Wall Women's Open was held today at the Sunrise Golf & Country Club. Local favorite Li Hsin recorded 5 birdies and 0 bogeys, finishing with the day's lowest score of 67. With a two-day total of 131, she maintains a solo lead, while Yani Tseng follows closely behind. The TLPGA Dachan Great Wall Women's Open, with a total prize pool of NT$15 million, is one of the most lucrative events on the Taiwan tour. In addition to the leader Li Hsin, participants include "Smiling Queen" Yani Tseng, JLPGA player Tsai Pei-ying, and defending champion Li Min. Li Hsin, who shot 64 in the first round, maintained her good form today. Starting from the 1st hole, she made 2 birdies on the front nine and added 3 more after the turn, achieving a bogey-free round on the highly difficult Sunrise course. After the match, Li Hsin stated, "My performance on the fairway wasn't ideal today, which affected my iron play. Although my shots went off-course several times, I managed to save par with my short game." Yani Tseng, who ranked 2nd with 66 strokes in the first round, improved as the day went on. Starting from the 10th hole, she made 2 birdies and 2 bogeys. After the turn, she bogeyed the 5th hole, briefly putting her total score over par. However, having practiced at the Sunrise course since childhood, Tseng made a birdie on the 8th hole and finished with an eagle on the 9th, ending the day with 70 strokes and a two-day total of 136, keeping her in solo 2nd place, 5 strokes behind Li Hsin. Tseng mentioned, "I was overthinking, which made me hesitant in club selection for both woods and irons. Fortunately, I was stable in the last two holes. I will keep my own rhythm for the next two days and create many birdie opportunities."
