MA-tek Invests NT$700 Million in Taiwan to Build AI Smart Testing Labs

According to the Central News Agency, the InvesTaiwan office approved the expansion of three companies today, including MA-tek. This marks MA-tek's third additional investment in Taiwan, with plans to invest approximately NT$700 million to purchase advanced testing equipment for seven laboratories in Hsinchu and Tainan to build a next-generation AI smart testing lab. The Ministry of Economic Affairs' Department of Investment Services explained that MA-tek is a global leader in material, failure, and reliability analysis, operating 16 labs worldwide and serving industries including semiconductors, displays, optoelectronics, packaging and testing, and nano-components. With over 8,500 clients, it is considered a vital R&D support center for the high-tech industry. This investment will introduce AI testing, data analysis management platforms, and automated reporting systems to enhance process standardization and automation. Additionally, A-Mei Mattress will invest approximately NT$610 million to build a new factory in Shalu District, Taichung. According to MOEA statistics, the three major investment programs in Taiwan have attracted approximately NT$2.65 trillion from 1,754 companies to date.
