Carbon-Based Tech Denies 'Green-Friendly' Allegations, Cites Only One Contract

According to the Central News Agency, Chen Wen-hung, chairman of drone manufacturer Carbon-Based Technology, refuted allegations of close ties to the DPP, stating the company has received no subsidies and has only one contract for the 'Albatross II' drone. Chen stated that recent attempts to link him to the 'green energy national team' are inconsistent with the facts and have harmed his personal and corporate reputation. KMT Secretary-General Lin Pei-hsiang stated that while the KMT respects the company's legal actions, it will not cease its oversight. Carbon-Based Technology issued a statement criticizing KMT lawmakers for making claims about 'many subsidies' and 'many contracts' without providing concrete evidence. The company also argued that its social media posts merely shared public news reports and that distorting this is unfair. Carbon-Based Technology explained that for the past three years, it has focused on the 'Albatross II' project, and since Chen took office, this has been the only contract. On Facebook, Chen described the struggle to turn around the company, which was in financial distress, noting that he took on over 100 million NTD in debt while working to improve technology and integrate the supply chain. The company asserts it has nearly 20 years of experience and that all collaborations and verifications have followed legal procedures.
