Russian Night Attack on Ukraine Kills 2, Injures 19; Ukraine Retaliates with Drone Strike on Russian Industrial Zone

(CNA, Kyiv, 20th, Comprehensive Foreign Report) Ukrainian local officials stated today that a nighttime attack by Russian forces on Ukraine resulted in 2 deaths and 19 injuries. Simultaneously, Ukraine dispatched a large number of drones to attack an industrial zone in central Russia. Reuters reported that Ukrainian local authorities indicated on the messaging app Telegram that Russian forces used missiles, drones, and artillery to bombard the southeastern city of Dnipro, causing 2 deaths and 6 injuries. Another 13 people were injured in the northern Sumy region and the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, including 3 children. Reuters could not independently verify these claims.
