(CNA, Hsinchu, by reporter Chang Chien-chung, May 19) IC design firm MediaTek has launched a Senior Executive Onboarding and Development Program, which has received an Excellence in Practice Award from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) for helping new executives quickly integrate into the corporate culture, accelerating the realization of their value, and bringing substantial benefits to the company.

MediaTek issued a press release today stating that the program is designed to help new executives swiftly overcome the cultural adaptation period within the first three months of onboarding. This is achieved through a dual-track mechanism of dedicated partners and cross-departmental mentors, complemented by hands-on cross-functional integration and observation of high-level meetings.

MediaTek stated that from the fourth to the sixth month, the HR team assists executives in adjusting their leadership styles through new executive integration workshops and a 360-degree feedback mechanism, using structured guidance and data-driven customized coaching.

In the second half of the year after onboarding, direct supervisors review work performance and track data-driven KPIs to ensure that each new executive's strategies are closely aligned with the company's operational goals.

MediaTek pointed out that since the program's launch, it has achieved a high executive talent retention rate of over 90%. Over the past five years, the R&D capabilities and business experience brought by new executives have built upon the company's established foundation, comprehensively boosting product competitiveness, driving overall revenue growth, and expanding the business footprint into new markets such as data centers.
