The 'Deer Happiness Platform,' established by the Ministry of Education's K-12 Education Administration (K-12 EA), has reached approximately 600 schools across Taiwan in 11 years, connecting corporations and volunteers to promote projects such as workshops for touch- and voice-controlled lights, photography programs, and AI study camps, supporting over 110,000 students in participating in diverse learning.

The Ministry of Education stated in a press release today that to implement the ideals of equal educational opportunities and shared resources, the K-12 EA continues to promote the introduction of diverse learning resources to schools in remote and 'non-mountain, non-city' areas. Since its establishment in 2016, the Deer Happiness Platform has actively connected corporations, volunteers, and schools, bringing external resources into campuses. Through hands-on experience and situational learning, it helps students broaden their horizons and cultivate their abilities.

According to Ministry of Education statistics, the Deer Happiness Platform has reached about 600 schools across Taiwan in 11 years, facilitating over 1,900 collaborations, connecting nearly 200 companies and 5,300 volunteers, and promoting over 780 projects, supporting more than 110,000 students in diverse learning activities.

Mediated by the platform, volunteer Liao Chien-chih has brought touch and voice-controlled light workshops to remote campuses, visiting 53 schools to date. He has guided students in learning soldering and circuit implementation from scratch. Many students, holding a soldering iron for the first time, gained a sense of achievement and built self-confidence the moment their self-made glowing project lit up, demonstrating the concrete results of introducing diverse learning resources.

Jingpu Elementary School in Chiayi County shared that after implementing the course for sixth graders and seeing the students' focused engagement and significant growth, they invited Liao Chien-chih back to teach fifth graders. This transformed the course from a one-time collaboration into a continuous learning program, truly supporting learning and confidence-building for students in remote areas.

Additionally, the Deer Happiness Platform has assisted the Wenyuan Foundation in promoting the 'Sparkling Far-flung Villages' photography project. This project guides children to document their land and daily life through a lens. At the Sinwei branch of Gwang-Shing Elementary School in Kaohsiung's Liouguei District, children walked through mahogany avenues, field ridges, and settlements, capturing scenes of their hometown from their own perspectives and building a connection with their land through photography.

In terms of technology education, Wistron entered Tung-Kuang Elementary and Neiwan Elementary in Hsinchu County via the platform to promote the 'AI Navigator Smart Learning Camp for Rural Elementary Schools.' This initiative helped children engage with artificial intelligence and digital creation. Using AI image generation tools, the children turned their ideas into picture books, incorporating themes like global warming and ocean conservation into their stories.
