Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding Celebrates 20th Anniversary with New 'Mori' Train

This year, a special arrangement allows couples to ride the brand-new "Mori-go" train, and past participants are invited back for a homecoming. Registration for this year's Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding opened at noon today. The Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held a press conference this morning, stating that this year's event, themed "A Blissful Homecoming," will feature a first-time collaboration with the Alishan Forest Railway and Cultural Heritage Office of the Ministry of Agriculture's Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, allowing newlyweds to ride the new "Mori-go" train, which is scheduled to launch in September. Huang Shih-fang, Deputy Director-General of the Tourism Administration, expressed hope that the Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding will evolve from just an event into an entire industrial chain in the future. The Tourism Administration pointed out that the Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding has already attracted 399 couples, including people from over 10 countries. This year's event will be held on October 17th, with registration open for 18 couples. The newlyweds will ride the "Mori-go" as the train travels through Fenchihu, Erwanping Station, and other locations. The Tourism Administration mentioned that this year's planned "Grand Wedding Day, Blissful Homecoming" themed event invites couples who have previously participated in the Alishan wedding to return for a visit to Alishan.
