The weighted index opened at 41,095.82, with an intraday high of 41,095.82 and a low of 40,170.17. The index excluding financial stocks was 37,085.63, down 250.16 points. Regarding the eight major sectors, their gains and losses were as follows: Cement/Ceramics -0.26%, Food -0.94%, Plastics/Chemicals -0.63%, Textiles -1.69%, Electrical/Machinery -0.70%, Paper -2.56%, Construction flat, and Financials -0.83%. The number of buy orders was 25,380,791 lots, sell orders were 16,598,235 lots, and the total traded lots were 13,583,021. At closing, 458 companies rose, 560 fell, and 83 remained unchanged.
