Man Alarms Parents by Approaching Baby in Banqiao, New Taipei; Taken in by Police

(CNA, New Taipei, May 17) In Banqiao District, New Taipei City, a man caused alarm to parents by approaching their baby in a department store. He had fled by the time floor management was notified, but police later located and brought him in for investigation. According to reports, a man was seen today in and around the Banqiao Mega City department store approaching others' babies without reason, causing alarm to parents. Store employees reported the incident to floor management, but the man had already left the scene. Upon receiving the report, police began an investigation. By reviewing surveillance footage, they identified the man involved and brought him in for questioning in the evening. As the man is a minor, he will be transferred to the juvenile court of the New Taipei District Court to be handled under the Compulsory Enforcement Act and the Juvenile Justice Act following questioning.
