The heavy rain areas include the mountainous regions of Nantou County, Yunlin County, and Chiayi County, as well as Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and the Hengchun Peninsula. Additionally, the CWA issued an immediate severe thunderstorm message for Nantou, Yunlin, and Chiayi counties, warning of short-duration heavy rainfall accompanied by strong wind gusts. The public should be cautious of sudden rises in stream/river levels, landslides, rockfalls, flooding in low-lying areas, and low visibility.
