Led by Almodóvar, 3 Spanish Films Compete for the Palme d'Or at Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival has opened, and in an unprecedented event, three Spanish films have entered the main competition, including a new work by famed director Pedro Almodóvar. They will compete with 19 other international films for the highest honor, the Palme d'Or. The three Spanish films are Almodóvar's 'Amarga Navidad' (Bitter Christmas), Rodrigo Sorogoyen's 'El ser querido' (The Loved One), and 'La bola negra' (The Black Ball) by the directorial duo 'Los Javis'.
