Rubio Says US Policy on Taiwan Unchanged; Premier Cho Jung-tai: Paying Close Attention

During US President Donald Trump's state visit to China, he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Following the meeting, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the US policy toward Taiwan remains unchanged, adding that any forced changes to the status quo would be detrimental to both nations. He also noted that arms sales to Taiwan were not a main focus of discussion. In response, Taiwan's Premier Cho Jung-tai briefly told the media at the Legislative Yuan that the government is paying close attention to the development.
