President Lai Attends National Award for Arts, Thanks Artists for Chronicling Taiwan Through Creation

President Lai Ching-te attended the 24th National Award for Arts ceremony to pay tribute to the laureates. He stated that culture and art determine the depth of the island's soul. Lai personally thanked director Yu Kan-ping, artist Lee Tsai-chien, architect Chien Hsueh-yi, composer Lo Liang-hui, Taiwanese opera performer Wang Chin-ying, and choreographer Lin Wen-chung for their contributions. He pledged that the government will continue to protect a free and open creative environment to help Taiwanese culture reach the world.
