May TAIEX Futures Rise 160 Points

Central News Agency, Taipei, 14th - The Taipei stock market closed up 377.25 points today at 41751.75. May TAIEX futures closed at 41608, an increase of 160 points. Compared to the spot market, this represents a backwardation of 143.75 points.

The Taiwan Futures Exchange set the opening reference prices for the next two months' index futures contracts as follows: May futures at 41448 points and June futures at 41576 points.

The Taiwan stock market closed up 377.25 points today at 41751.75, with a trading volume of NT$1.216778 trillion.

May TAIEX futures closed at 41608, up 160 points, with 70,951 contracts traded; June futures closed at 41748, up 172 points, with 1,510 contracts traded. The actual closing prices are subject to the announcement by the Futures Exchange. 1150514
