Chen Wen-Huei Wins 3 Silvers at Asian Weightlifting Championships, Breaks National Records in Clean & Jerk and Total

Central News Agency, Taipei, 15th — Taiwan's two-time Olympian Chen Wen-Huei, competing in the women's 69kg category at the Asian Weightlifting Championships today, delivered a performance of 104kg in the snatch, 135kg in the clean & jerk, and a total of 239kg. Not only did she secure three silver medals, but her clean & jerk and total also broke national records.

Held in India, the Asian Weightlifting Championships saw Taiwanese star Chen Wen-Huei, a favorite for a medal, continue her excellent form from the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games in April. Chen completed the competition with a 104kg snatch, 135kg clean & jerk, and a 239kg total. Her results in all three categories were second only to North Korean athlete Song Guk-hyang, earning her a total of three silver medals.
