(Central News Agency, Taipei, 14th, Reporter Tseng Jen-kai) Taisugar, Hsin-Le Foods Corporation under the T-Ham Group, and Sheng-Li Biotechnology Corporation, part of the Ginko Group, announced a tripartite collaboration today. They will integrate key capabilities such as breeding management, slaughtering and cutting, and medical material research and development to jointly promote the upgrading of Taiwan's animal-derived medical material supply chain. This will transition Taiwan's livestock industry from traditional food supply to high-value biomedical applications.
Sheng-Li introduced that Taisugar has long been deeply involved in livestock management, breeding traceability, and epidemic prevention systems, possessing a solid foundation of complete breeding experience and production history data. Hsin-Le Foods has Asia's advanced slaughtering and cutting equipment and standardized operating procedures, capable of meeting the strictest midstream slaughtering and cutting process requirements and environmental management. Sheng-Li Biotechnology has accumulated over 20 years of R&D, manufacturing, and international ISO certification experience in medical-grade collagen, biomaterials, and regenerative medical devices, possessing the technical strength to connect to the high-value medical application market.
Sheng-Li stated that in the future, the three parties will combine their respective advantages to cooperate. Based on international standards, documented systems, traceability, risk analysis, and professional counseling resources, they will gradually establish a replicable and scalable demonstration model for Taiwan's industry. This will enhance the added value, resilience, and international integration capabilities of Taiwan's livestock and biomedical supply chains.
Sheng-Li believes that with the increasing international market demand for high-quality, traceable animal-derived materials, this collaboration is expected to bring transformation opportunities to Taiwan's livestock industry. It will shift the model from being primarily food-oriented to a model where medical materials are primary and food is supplementary, opening up a more forward-looking and sustainable high-value biomedical application.
