The overall acceptance rate was 92.94%, slightly lower than last year. The Ministry of Education reminds accepted students to complete their registration procedures by June 12, according to the timeline specified in each school's admission guidelines.
The "Comprehensive Exam-Free Admission" program does not consider the scores of the Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students (CAP). Instead, students register directly with the schools. If the number of applicants does not exceed the number of available slots, all applicants are accepted. If applications exceed the slots, students are selected based on the criteria outlined in the admission guidelines for each school district.
The Ministry of Education issued a press release today stating that for the 115th academic year, 63 individual schools and 68 schools across 11 regions, including Keelung and Chiayi, offered admission slots. A total of 131 public and private schools participated.
This year, there were a total of 8,848 applicants (compared to 8,117 last year), with 8,223 students accepted (up from 7,588 last year), showing a slight increase. The overall acceptance rate was 92.94%, a slight decrease from last year's 93.48%. An additional 9 schools will announce their admission results after completing their allocation process.
The Ministry of Education reminds students accepted through the "Comprehensive Exam-Free Admission" program that they are still required to take the CAP exam. High schools will use the CAP scores as a condition for awarding entrance scholarships. Furthermore, the CAP serves as an academic proficiency assessment for three years of junior high school, allowing high schools to understand the students' learning status.
