Subsequently, buying emerged, narrowing the decline, and the market closed at 41374.5 points, down 523.82 points, leaving a 359.97-point lower shadow. The trading value was NT$1.2038 trillion.
TSMC's performance was weak, closing at NT$2220, down NT$35. Its market value fell to NT$57.57 trillion, affecting the broader market by approximately 278 points. Major stocks like MediaTek, Delta Electronics, and ASE Technology Holding also saw declines. The electronic sector index fell by 1.51%.
Traditional industrial stocks showed mixed performance, with rubber and shipping sector indices falling over 1%, and plastics, machinery, and glass sector indices dropping over 2%.
